Kashmir Solutions Forum is an Electronic Discussion Group of the Association for Communal Harmony in Asia (ACHA)
Objective
To explore ways to achieve resolution of the Kashmir problem and to seek enduring peace between India and Pakistan.
Duration
Initially three months, but may be cut short or prolonged, as deemed necessary by the moderator and chair of the group

Keith Snodgrass has been Associate Director and Outreach Coordinator at the South Asia Center in the University of Washington's Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies since 1996. He has lived and studied in both India and Pakistan, and has visited the Pakistani side of Kashmir. He has followed domestic and international politics of South Asia since 1984. He received a degree in South Asian History from UC Berkeley in 1985, and an MA in South Asian studies from the University of Washington in 1993. He most recently visited South Asia (India) in January 2002.
Moderator's Role
- 1. Initiate discussions and provide input as appropriate
- 2. Review all incoming messages
- 3. Select messages which are appropriate for posting to the group
- 4. Post selected messages to the group, several at a time, but in a timely manner
- 5. Moderate exchanges between subscribers
- 6. Discharge other responsibilities appropriate to their role

Pritam Rohila is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Association for Communal Harmony in Asia (ACHA). Also, with Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, he co-chairs, AsiaPeace, ACHA's other electronic discussion group.

- 1. Admit/Expel subscribers
- 2. Assist Moderator
Membership
- 1. Membership is open to anyone who requests subscription or accepts an invitation to subscribe
- 2. Members will focus submissions on the objectives of the group
- 3. Members will route all submissions through the moderators
- 4. Members will observe appropriate internet decorum
- 5. Members will cite source, if they refer to one (e.g., name, date, page etc. of the document, (or book, or journal article)
- 6. Repeated failure to observe rules will result in removal from the subscriber list
